Springbox Expands Social Media Presence for 'Live-Rising' Concert Series
Austin, TX — Aug 4, 2011
Earlier this year, Springbox, an Austin-based interactive services agency, helped Microsoft Advertising create a live music streaming campaign for T-Mobile called 'Live Rising.'
T-Mobile's Live Rising campaign was designed to showcase the strength of the 4G network, provide fans with entertainment from a variety of devices, and encourage interaction with the brand online. To energize this Facebook-integrated, multi-screen campaign, Springbox leveraged T-Mobile's existing fan page to build the buzz. Users could check out the concert schedule, browse band bios, view a trailer video and enter the Live Rising sweepstakes. The sweepstakes winner will receive a trip to watch the making of a music video, including airfare and accommodations for two, spending money, and a T-Mobile My Touch 4G phone.
The concert series featured live performances from artists associated with T-Mobile, including Ellie Goulding, Cold War Kids, and Rye Rye. As video came in from various US concert locations via Austin-based agency partner Giant Pictures and uStream.tv, the Springbox-built Facebook experience live-streamed the footage to fans. Fans could also catch the live stream via mobile phone, Windows Live Messenger or Xbox Live experiences supplied by other agency partners.
The campaign was so successful, T-Mobile decided to add a fourth concert featuring Robyn to round out the series. For more information about the T-Mobile's Live Rising events and contest winners, visit the mobile site at www.live-rising.com.
