LIVESTRONG Partners with Springbox to Redesign Website
Austin, TX — Sep 13, 2010
Creative agency Springbox redesigned LIVESTRONG.org with a fresh look and feel, easy content management and clear paths to get help or take action.
“LIVESTRONG, whose mission is to inspire and empower people affected by cancer, offers an incredible array of programs and events that span the globe,” said LIVESTRONG Senior Manger of New Media, Jeff Manning. “One challenge we face when introducing people to LIVESTRONG is making them aware of all we have to offer without overwhelming them.”
The new LIVESTRONG.org helps a vibrant organization connect with the global cancer community. Springbox moved LIVESTRONG beyond one-off home page refreshes to an entirely restructured site powered by a robust content management system (CMS). The new design invigorates the visual brand and puts the focus on content.
An easy-to-handle Flash module — fully managed within the CMS — as well as the latest blog content and headlines provide fresh content on the home page. Clear paths direct users who need help to relevant resources and services. Users who want to get involved in events or advocacy are provided an equally clear, separate path.
Springbox conducted in-depth stakeholder interviews to understand and address a wide variety of needs. “LIVESTRONG has keen insight into what people at different stages of the cancer journey need, from someone who may be in need of immediate support to someone who is passionate about giving back,” said Shelly Leyden, Springbox Content Director. “We worked to leverage that expertise to create clarity online.”
