Springbox Wins Three Austin ADDY Awards

In an impressive display of its capabilities, Springbox won three awards at the 2009 Austin ADDYS, each one highlighting a different website launched by the interactive marketing agency over the past year. The award-winning sites — Callaway Golf Netfits, CentralMarket.com and the Hoover’s Stamp Your Passport Microsite — represent various areas of excellence within the ceremony’s Interactive Media category.
A Flash-based microsite, Callaway Golf Netfits is an online driver-fitting tool that generates club recommendations for maximizing performance based on user preferences. Designed with an intuitive user interface, the configurator offers features such as 3D shot shapes and multiple viewing options that complement the Callaway Golf brand.
The ADDY award for the Central Market website redesign, a complete online makeover for the Texas-based specialty grocery retailer, was another big win for Springbox. The Springbox team composed a fresh site with a natural, homegrown look and feel, while also adding new components such as More, Please! — Central Market’s first-ever blog — and the Recipe Book, which gives dedicated food and cooking fans a place to share information.
Also recognized with an ADDY award was the Hoover’s Stamp Your Passport microsite. The vibrant travel-themed microsite utilizes Flash animation to bring visitors through a series of fun, engaging questions. Upon answering them all, the user receives a recommendation for their ideal travel destination as well as helpful Hoover’s tools. The execution successfully illustrates how Hoover’s resources — branded the “fastest path to business” — can also be the fastest path to leisure. The microsite has also been recognized with an Adobe Site of the Day Award.
The ADDYS are well respected within the Austin creative community. Each website selected by the committee highlights several facets of Springbox’ interactive capabilities, demonstrating the diverse range of client projects the agency executes year after year.
