Springbox and NASCAR Performance Microsite Finishes in the Winner’s Circle
Las Vegas, NV — Oct 4, 2009
The 2009 Ultimate NASCAR Performance Make-Over Sweepstakes microsite, built by interactive marketing agency Springbox, has been awarded a Business-to-Consumer Automotive Communications Award. Sponsored by the Car Care Council Women’s Board, the Automotive Communications Awards applaud companies and agencies that provide automotive information through outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.
The winning microsite generates awareness for NASCAR Performance partners through a variety of activities, including a vehicle make-over sweepstakes, with a trip to 2009 Ford Championship Weekend in Homestead-Miami, NASCAR gear and other prizes. Also featured is the Performance Overhaul game, an interactive experience where users race against the clock, dragging-and-dropping NASCAR Performance partner icons to make over a truck into the ultimate NASCAR fan’s dream ride.
The site was a huge success, both for loyal NASCAR fans and for the company’s online marketing objectives.
“The website enabled us to engage our fans like never before and really encourage them to think about the importance of car care,” said Odis Lloyd, managing director, NASCAR Automotive Group. “With over 270,000 entries in just 9 weeks, we are extremely pleased with what Springbox was able to deliver to our fans and the added value to our automotive partners alike.”
Springbox also developed a rich media banner campaign to drive traffic to the microsite. The 2009 engagement marks the second consecutive year that the agency has produced online marketing programs for NASCAR Performance.
