Springbox Wins W3 Best in Show Award for NASCAR Site
Austin, TX — Oct 13, 2008
Leading interactive agency Springbox has been awarded a W3 “Best in Show” Award for the Ultimate NASCAR Performance Make-Over Sweepstakes microsite. The W3 Award marks yet another success for the microsite, which has drawn a significant number of visits from NASCAR fans.
The Best in Show Award represents the highest mark of distinction within the W3 Award categories — honoring only the top 1% of all work entered. Now in its third year, W3 received more than 3,000 entries in 2008, placing Springbox in a large and very competitive pool of contenders. Entries were submitted by a variety of creative professionals ranging from interactive and ad agencies to web designers.
“The hits just keep on coming for this one. Our team is always thrilled about projects that earn the rewards, and the NASCAR site has accomplished that in more ways than one,” says Springbox Account Director Bryan Hjelm. The sweepstakes site has also garnered notable traffic since its launch in mid-August, pulling in more than 150,000 sweepstakes entries, 195,000 unique visitors and 2 million unique page views.
The W3 Awards recognizes creative and marketing professionals behind award winning websites. W3 is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) — an invitation-only body of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Disney, Estée Lauder, HBO, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Wired, Yahoo! and many more. The W3 Awards is sponsored in part by its media partner, Advertising Age.
