Springbox Wins ASID Rising Star Award

Proof that its design-savviness extends beyond the internet, leading interactive marketing agency Springbox has won an American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Texas Rising Star Award. ASID awarded Springbox First Place in the Commercial category for corporations of any size.
Located at 708 Congress Avenue in the heart of downtown Austin — a stone’s throw from the State Capital — the agency’s Austin HQ showcases a design sensibility inspired by both its urban surroundings and the interactive medium. While the façade of the historic Metz Building is stylish enough to win an award on its own, it’s the inside of this creative hub that truly sets Springbox apart from the competition.
A high-ceilinged atrium welcomes visitors and establishes key elements of the Springbox aesthetic. In fact, the Austin office’s open spaces, clean lines and large swaths of orange and white — modern elements chosen to spark creativity and foster collaboration — have all come to define the company’s visual identity. The Austin office features additional design details that are unique to its location, such as limestone walls, vintage hardwood floors and gleaming light fixtures.
The ASID award is a testament to the talent of designer Tamie Glass. Glass has played an instrumental role in translating the Springbox visual identity to the workplace, helping to guide successful expansion efforts of the agency’s Austin headquarters in 2006 and 2007.
Design details help Springbox set visual guidelines in stone, but it’s the energy generated by the agency’s people that really brings the Austin office to life. “It’s great to be recognized for hard work, but it’s even more rewarding to be recognized for our unique identity,” says Adam Moore, Springbox Co-President and Co-Founder. “We believe that when an agency looks good, it feels good to work there.” In keeping with this philosophy, Springbox L.A. opened its doors in April 2008 with the same aesthetic firmly in place.
Founded in 1975, ASID is the oldest, largest and leading professional organization for interior designers. A way to recognize up-and-coming designers, ASID’s Rising Star Award is given to nominees in 15 different categories within three main areas of focus: Commercial, Residential and Other. Award winners are feted at the Legacy of Design awards, featured in the Fall 2008 issue of LUXE Magazine and recognized on the
ASID Texas website.
