Springbox Launches New Central Market Website
Austin, TX — Nov 4, 2008
Interactive marketing firm Springbox has launched a newly redesigned website (www.centralmarket.com) for H-E-B's Texas-based specialty grocery retailer Central Market. The site aims to extend the Central Market experience well beyond the storefront.
In designing the new site, Springbox took inspiration from the fresh, natural look and feel of Central Market’s stores. The new, vibrant CentralMarket.com has a homegrown, organic feel with a textured, burlap background and bright splashes of the company’s trademark green. Exciting new features include the company’s first-ever blog, — entitled “More, Please!” — as well as enhanced store pages and robust calendars providing store events and cooking school news. The revamped Recipe Book encourages food enthusiasts to share recipes and interact with other Foodies.
The site also plays up the identities of each of the retailer’s eight stores. Each Central Market location has its own page with store details, events and tasty tidbits. Individual stores have the ability to easily update their calendars, specials and menus with an easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS).
Central Market’s new online look and features lay the foundation for an expanded online — and offline — presence. “Central Market is a rising star,” says Marili Cantu, Account Director for Springbox. “We love being able to support a Texas-Native business and feel that the site we built brings the charm of the Central Market stores to the online community.”
The website redesign is the first project Springbox and Central Market have undertaken together. While phase one of this exciting project has come to a close, Springbox is already looking forward to phase two: creating an online foodie community to strengthen Central Market’s standing in the interactive marketplace. Springbox has already taken the first steps with a Facebook Page, showcasing the retailer and its new site. Who knew food had so much to say?
