Springbox Builds In-Store Kiosks for LG
Austin, TX — Oct 20, 2008
Extending the reach of one of its client’s online communications, interactive marketing agency Springbox has developed a digital in-store kiosk for LG Electronics, promoting the company’s robust product line of innovative washers and dryers.
The touchscreen kiosk gives customers a different way to engage with the LG brand, without the limitations of traditional media vehicles. Placed atop a washer and dryer pair, the kiosk can be customized with retailers’ brand information to help create a high-traffic, high-impact fixture on sales floors.
The kiosk serves as a virtual salesperson, with new informative experiences. A focal point of the kiosk is an interactive quiz that customers can take to find out which LG washer and dryer is right for them. Springbox also loaded the LG kiosk with a rich library of product information. Videos, content and interactive demonstrations help tell the LG laundry story — premium products that beautifully unite smart technology and stylish design for exceptional results.
“Retail kiosks give businesses a new avenue to communicate with their customers in an environment where they’re close to products that interest them,” says Springbox Account Director Bryan Hjelm. “Branded touchpoints like a kiosk form the perfect complement to traditional and interactive marketing efforts — they can be the missing link in a client’s marketing mix.”
The kiosk project augments the reach of a successful Steam Laundry microsite that Springbox built previously for LG. Springbox plans to extend its interactive expertise to more out-of-home digital media options like kiosks in the future.
