Springbox and AMD Unveil Next Gen of Multi-Core Processors
Austin, TX — Oct 3, 2007
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Austin interactive marketing firm Springbox launched the AMD Multi-Core website on September 10, heralding the technology innovator's most highly anticipated release of 2007: The Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor.
The new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor (code name: Barcelona) — the first in the industry to feature native quad-core technology — is a landmark achievement in AMD's processor development. The new quad-core processor features industry-leading performance-per-watt, optimal virtualization technology, outstanding performance and easy-upgrade options.
AMD handpicked Springbox as the creative firm of choice in the quad-core web push. "When it came to the AMD website, we needed a partner who could really illustrate the key value propositions of Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors," says AMD Marketing Director Matthew Hammer. "Springbox was instrumental in making the Barcelona web launch successful."
"AMD is a favorite client of ours," says Dan Isaacs, co-founder of Springbox. "We feel honored to be the voice of this technological milestone." AMD numbers among the three-year-old creative firm's first clients. Springbox has worked on several high-profile projects for AMD, including the company's Partner Support Portal, its sponsorship of the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team and an earlier demonstration site devoted to AMD's original multi-core processor, the Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processor.
