As the Thunder Rolls, Springbox Celebrates
Austin, TX — Jun 2, 2006
Once again demonstrating its ability to entertain, Springbox, an Austin-based interactive marketing firm, recently hosted a gathering of friends, clients and partners to celebrate the 12th annual Republic of Texas motorcycle rally.
For the second year in a row, Springbox treated guests, many of whom donned their finest biker gear, to a block-rocking party, boasting one of the city’s best vantage points from which to view the legendary biker rally. The Republic of Texas rally, also called the ROT Rally, is widely recognized as Austin’s equivalent to Sturgis, one of the world’s largest and most notorious celebrations of motorcycle culture. Just blocks from the capital building above Congress Avenue, the office’s location proved to be integral to the party’s success, an Austin tradition that is quickly becoming a Springbox tradition as well.
The annual party offers everyone — from Springbox team members to clients, friends and family — an opportunity to cut loose and enjoy the wild festivities. “Like all of our events, it was tremendously fun,” says Dan Isaacs. “Our location is spectacular and everyone was excited for it. The ROT Rally is uniquely Austin, and we wanted to provide front-row seats to all of our friends. Word on the street is that it’s going to be both louder and prouder next year. We’re all looking forward to it.”
Nearly 40,000 riders and more than 200,000 enthusiasts turned out to take part in the four-day event, culminating in a parade that stretched nearly 11 miles, a current Guinness World Record. Much like the ROT Rally itself, the Springbox party is quickly becoming an event of epic proportions.
