Springbox Expands Again
Austin, TX — Nov 6, 2006
Austin-based interactive marketing firm Springbox celebrated its second expansion of 2006 in November, incorporating adjacent real estate on Congress Avenue to accommodate the agency’s rapid growth.
An influx of new clients, among them Circuit City and Walt Disney, has boosted revenue, prompting Springbox to annex additional space, making room for at least a dozen new employees. “Our people are our strongest asset, and we’re looking to bring in some great talent to work with our exciting new clients,” says Dan Isaacs, co-founder of Springbox. “We’ve experienced amazing growth over the past three years, and this expansion allows us to provide our team and our clients with the resources they need.”
To build a workspace that reflects its philosophy, Springbox hired commercial and residential design veteran Tamie Glass of CRE8WORKS (www.cre8works.com) to create an open, elegant and modern floor plan. “We wanted to evolve the aesthetic while staying true to existing design elements,” Glass says, so for the project she incorporated the interior’s distinct features, such as bare stone and brick walls, into her concept to add depth and texture to the office. Carpet tile patterns allude to pixels, a subtle reference to the interactive medium. A new lounge area and conference rooms offer exceptional views of the city’s heart.
“Springbox is really fun to work for, and it’s a pretty amazing space,” says Glass of the project. “They have big ideas, and their aspirations gave me a lot of creative freedom.”
Springbox also expanded in March of 2006, when the agency took over space left vacant by Paper & Ink, a local stationery boutique, as it moved its business online. Together, both expansions have increased Springbox’s physical footprint to 9000 square feet which, according to founding partner Adam Moore, will accommodate up 45 employees and growth until late 2007.
“I love it,” says Becky Fabre, a Springbox account executive who helped orchestrate the latest expansion. “It inspires me — being in a new space is always fun, no matter what — but this is something better. It gets me excited about what’s next.”
