What did you do before joining Springbox?
I was the music product manager for an experiential marketing company here in Austin.

Before moving to Austin two years ago, I lived and worked in New York City.  I spent several years in the client-side advertising world and before that, a couple of years in finance.

Where do you find inspiration?
I’m a bit of a dual-natured person so opposites like huge, bustling cities and really small rural towns, modern architecture and ancient Greek ruins, new indie music and the oldies all appeal to me.

Also, people who are doing amazing things that lift up and support people who need help, communities coming together in the wake of disaster, people who have small ideas that translate into businesses with enormous cultural impact…these sorts of things all encourage my beliefs in the essential goodness and the ingenuity of humankind.

Which websites have inspired you recently?
thecoolhunter.net beautifully photographs great ideas in a number of areas: design, art, fashion, architecture, music, gadgets, travel and more.

Individual blogs in the fashion and photography worlds like theglamourai.com and thesartorialist.blogspot.com, and music blogs and sites like Pitchfork.com as well.

Which trends in interactive are you currently paying attention to?
The Location-based services are really interesting to me – what people are willing to share (and give up) in order to be rewarded.  Also social media, for some of the same reasons.  The amount of sharing for sharing’s sake (“I’m so tired!” and “I just ate breakfast!”) but more so as an informational movement.  I’m thinking specifically of the differences in the traditional news cycle now that we have Twitter and Facebook and YouTube, connecting people all over the world and having footage captured and information shared and re-tweeted and re-posted in seconds – think Bin Laden’s death, the Egyptian revolution, the Tunisian revolution.  Talk about a sea change, in many respects.
