Adrian Taylor Talks Social Trends in Music

by Springbox June 16, 2011

The Austin Business Journal reported technology is changing the music scene, especially at live venues. They asked our very own Adrian Taylor to weigh in on the social media trend innovating the entertainment industry.

Excerpt from Austin Business Journal:

"Social media is an excellent tie-in to the entertainment industry," said Adrian Taylor, creative director at Springbox, an interactive marketing firm whose clients include Lollapalooza, NASCAR, and Austin-based Sweet Leaf Tea.

"Music is a very social activity — whether it be attending a live concert with a friend or sharing a new music discovery — so it makes perfect sense to get more heavily involved in this trend."

With Austin being a tech-savvy city and a music town, Taylor calls it fertile ground for experimenting with social media and entertainment. Austin's newest venue, ACL Live at the Moody Theater, is at the center of a couple of innovative social media campaigns that promise to make music a more interactive experience.

Having served clients like Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza, Springbox has experience integrating social behavior of music with social media to connect with more fans in a meaningful way. Read the full article Entertainers Get Creative with Social Media at Austin Business Journal.
